About this coffee This Red Bourbon from Emilio Lopez and Jose Roberto comes from Finca Las Isabellas, about an hour southwest of Emilio’s family farm, El Manzano.

The farm is larger than El Manzano and more than a third of the land is dedicated to a natural reserve. Since acquiring the farm, Emilio and his team have worked to grow the reserve, returning it to a thriving habitat for a handful of endangered species in the area: Ocelots, Beady Black-Eyed Frogs, and several bird species.

Pacamaras, Pacas and SL varieties grow alongside Red Bourbon at Las Isabellas. This Red Bourbon is picked and taken to the Tequendama Mill, the wet mill on site at the farm, that also collects and process neighboring growers’ and growing partners’ coffee. The coffee is traditionally processed – floated, pulped and submerged before moving to the patios. It’s a classic coffee profile of sweet and clear red fruit with balanced citrus-like acidity.
