
FRENCH PRESS
A favourite amongst all coffee drinkers for its charm, classic design and ease of use. The French Press, plunger or Cafetiére produces a full and rich cup because of its steel mesh filter allowing fines to sneak through.
Coffee: 60g coarse ground coffee
Water: 1L 96C/204F
Brew time: 5min
Preheat plunger and empty rinse water.
Add grounds to plunger and fill with 1L water. Pour quickly to ensure all grounds are saturated.
At 4 minutes the coffee will have formed a crust. Break the crust with the back of a spoon and remove any excess grounds still on the surface of the brew to help produce a cleaner cup.
Allow grounds to settle and gently press at approximately 5 minutes.
